Let's set up
Bubba.
Six small steps and you're talking to your Mac. The whole thing should take about ninety seconds, give or take whatever Apple wants you to confirm in System Settings.

Six steps. About ninety seconds.
- 01Step 01
Drag Bubba to your Applications folder.
Open the DMG, drag the bunny onto the Applications shortcut, eject the disk image. Done.
- 02Step 02
Launch Bubba and grant permissions.
macOS will ask for microphone access (for the wake word) and accessibility (for computer use). Both are required. You can revoke them any time in System Settings, Privacy and Security.
- 03Step 03
Add your Anthropic API key.
Settings, then Keys. Paste your Anthropic key. If you don't have one yet, grab it from console.anthropic.com. Bubba uses your key, not ours, so AI usage is billed directly to you.
Open Anthropic console - 04Step 04 · optional
Add your ElevenLabs key for premium voice.
Skip this if you're happy with system voices. Add the key in Settings, Voices to unlock the premium voice clone library.
- 05Step 05
Say "Hey Bubba" to confirm the wake word.
Say it once. The bunny should look up and acknowledge. If nothing happens, run Doctor (next section).
- 06Step 06
Try a starter command.
Pick one and say it out loud:
- "Hey Bubba, what's next on my calendar?"
- "Brain this," with a podcast or article URL on your clipboard
- "Start a Pomodoro," and Bubba sits with you for 25 minutes
Something off?
Run Doctor.
Open Settings, scroll to the bottom, click Run Doctor. It compiles a diagnostic report. Send the output to hi@hibubba.xyz. I usually reply same day.
The build is the manual.
- Watch the build videos for everything Bubba can do.
- Quick reference docs, for the impatient.
- Email support for anything that breaks.

Glad you're here. Let's go build a day.
